Maternal care is a men’s issue

I followed the Lindsay Clancy trial enough to see some of the 19th amendment craziness (i.e. it should be repealed because women are supporting her), and the push to take children away from mothers with postpartum imbalances until they can prove they’re safe.

I understand many are bots. But that doesn’t mean they don’t have influence. And one of the greatest threats to our culture right now is the inability to hold nuance. Holding complexity requires nervous system health, and this kind of extreme black-or-white thinking speaks very much to our collective state.

What baffles me the most is the belief maternal care issues are just “women’s issues.”

62 million men? (Mothering Boys Collective April 30th)
Right now my social media feed is filled with the “62 million men at the online ‘Rape Academy.” There are reports that the number is highly exaggerated. Regardless, it’s profoundly disturbing. As I got my boys ready for school this morning, I carried this story in the back of my mind - the horrors of men doing this to their partners and wives, coupled with the media’s exaggeration of the numbe...
