In a world of growing complexity, technology and isolation, mothers of boys are feeling rudderless without practical wisdom to guide us through these times.
The world is coming for our sons, but a mother running on empty cannot hold the line. We work so hard, love so deeply, and give to the point of depletion, yet feel like it’s still not enough to prepare and protect our sons.
We ask ourselves questions like…
🌿 How can I access the stamina and presence to keep up with my son’s energy, stay emotionally connected with him, and mother well?
🌿 How do I manage the intense physical and emotional changes my son is going through, nourish his body and mind, and help him express healthy masculinity?
🌿 How do I raise a boy who is empathetic, strong and confident and doesn't need to harm or dominate others to feel a sense of power?
🌿 How can I raise my son to be able to resist negative influences, stay secure in his values, protect the vulnerable and stand up to social pressure even if it means not fitting in?
🌿 How do I navigate these challenges when I already feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and lack The Village?
As mothers we are carrying so much right now. If you’re like so many moms, you may struggle to maintain the routines you and your sons need to be healthy. You may feel overwhelmed and exhausted just trying to keep up and find yourself numbing out at the end of the day. You may worry about your sons becoming isolated, angry, violent, excluded, or preyed upon.
We are living in a world of disconnection.
Disconnection from our bodies
Disconnection from nature's rhythms
Disconnection from each other
When we live in a world of disconnect, we’ll be guided by external influence rather than our own internal guidance system. We’ll live in our minds and our screens rather than our bodies. We'll fuel our lives from stress energy rather than Source energy. We'll lose our ancestral wisdom. We'll lose each other.Â
And we'll raise sons who are disconnected too.Â
Mothering from disconnection leaves us feeling overwhelmed, stressed, full of self-doubt.
The stress directly impacts our hormones and emotional health. We struggle to set boundaries or routines without feeling depleted. We feel the pressure of societal expectations and influences around masculinity and parenting. We feel confused and overwhelmed by conflicting information about how to mother boys well.
There are so many “answers” coming at us from psychologists, parenting experts, doctors and holistic practitioners. These approaches are usually focused just on the child and parenting from our intellect - just one more thing to add to our “To-Do List” of learning.Â
What’s missing is a parenting wisdom anchored in something deeper and more innate - a body-based wisdom that doesn’t require you to continually look outside yourself for answers.Â
In a complex world we need to simplify.
With the ancestral, body-based wisdom of Ayurveda and Somatic Experiencing, we learn a simple system for understanding our body and life. Through this we build our vitality and regulate our nervous system. We reclaim a deep cellular memory of how to nourish and support Life that guides us in our mothering.
In a disconnected world, we also need community.
The female nervous system needs safe relationships to be healthy. To decrease our stress we need a Village of other women mothering boys to hear us, hold us and help us navigate our challenges and celebrate our triumphs. When we’re less stressed, we can tune into rhythm and Source. That lets us access and anchor into a deeper intuitive knowing that goes far beyond any parenting book.Â
"This morning I cleaned out my family's medicine drawer and found 10 different medications and prescriptions that we no longer need to use. It's amazing that [after incorporating these practices for a year] my son no longer needs medicine for migraines, I don’t need to take the amoxicillin, iron supplements, estrogen or allergy pills, and my other son no longer needs the vomiting medicine. My eczema and allergies are gone, and I feel great. Sometimes I feel regret because I wish I had known about your course sooner."

“When I started, my energy was below 1. After only three months of these practices, my energy was at an 8 on most days. I’m now six months in and my energy is still that high! Now I finally have the vitality to work full-time and show up more fully as a mother.”
~ Lauren
Hi, I’m Courtney, and I help depleted mothers of boys reclaim their vitality and raise the sons our world needs.
Through nature-based, body-based wisdom, mothers of boys learn how to hold our son's fire, nurture them with these values and practices, and raise boys from power, not survival.
Our own bodies are the map. We can remember on a deeply cellular level how to nourish Life and foster our web of interdependence. Our modern world has disconnected from this wisdom, but we can remember.
My first big wake-up call happened in my late 20s when I was sidelined by extreme chronic fatigue, then healed it with Ayurveda.Â
In 2013 my first son, Sam was born, and two years later, my son Archie. Like so many moms, I flourished…and I struggled. I felt like my boys’ needs and my own were at odds. At the height of the pandemic, I started working with Somatic Experiencing and the nervous system, and - combined with Ayurveda - it took my practice and my mothering to a whole new level. I saw in real time how my nervous system states have a direct impact on my family and the rhythm of our lives.
I supported my own nervous system and saw my boys’ behavior improve and our family become more in tune and cohesive.
I now commit my two decades of individual healing practice in service to the collective. Because of our current chaotic cultural climate - rapid systemic breakdown, technological change, and the powerful influences undermining the physical and emotional health of women and children - I’m focussing my work on meeting the needs of mothers of boys.
With both bold, piercing insight into the challenges modern mothers face, along with practical, applied wisdom, I bridge the personal and political in helping mothers access the power of their own life force to create the families and communities, and world we want to live in.Â
We need each other so we can mother our boys well. I’m glad you’re here, and I hope you’ll stay.
Much love,Â
CourtneyÂ

If you’re looking for a traditional "parenting" class where we only focus on the kids, child psychology and motherhood hacks (that just add more to your plate), this might not be for you.
If you want to learn how to nurture yourself and your sons in the way they most need it - though attending to your own nervous system and theirs - I really hope you’ll join me.
